New Delhi, April 10s The need of the hour today in an era of materialism is that the exemplary lives and mission of the great companions of Prophet Mohammed should be followed so that the humanity should get its due dignified and respectable status after being brought out of the persecution and darkness. They are relevant to the present crisis- ridden humanity. The great companions of Prophet Mohammed are a model to the humanity.

They were loyal to Allah and true embodiment of humanity. They had been trained and guided by Prophet Mohammed himself.

This was the gist of the speakers from India and abroad at the inaugural session of the two-day 30th All India Ahle Hadees Conference on the “Greatness of the Companions of Prophet Mohammed” being organized by Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind at Ram Leela Ground here today. The two-day conference is being participated by thousands of delegates from different parts of the country. The foreign dignitaries included Dr Abdul Aziz Al Fauzan, Dr Saad Ali Al Sahrani, Dr Hamid Yaqub Al Farih and Sheikh Abdul Aziz Sulaiman Al Tawejri from Saudi Arabia; Sheikh Khalil Al Shatti and Sheikh Usman Al Khamis from Kuwait; and Sheikh Ubaid Salim Alkaas and Sheikh Hasshsham Al Zahrani from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Sher Khan Jamil Ahmed from United Kingdom..

Expressing his views in his presidential address, Hafiz Mohammed Yahya Dehlavi, Ameer, Martkazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind, said the solution to the problems we were facing today lied in the teachings of the great companions of the Holy Prophet. Their teachings were, in fact, present before the humanity as a model, he asserted.

Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahadi Salafi, General Secretary, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind, in his keynote address, averred that today the entire humanity was grief and problem-stricken. Human values were being undermined. And, in such a situation the exemplary lives and mission of the great companions came a ready-made solution. The great companions dealt with every issue in so decent way that their achievements were described by all the historians, he said.

According to Maulana Asghar Imam Mahadi Salafi, it was the recognition of the great companions of the Prophet that Hazrat Omar Bin Khattab, second Caliph of Islam and a representative of the great companions, was included along with Prophet Mohammed in the internationally reputed book “The 100” written by the American Christian author Michael Hart about 40 years ago.

Maulana Abdur Rahman Mubarakpuri, in his welcome address, remarked that both Muslim and non-Muslim brethren of the country should go through the lives and works of the great companions to know how they served the humanity, not a particular community or group. He also said that the world that was facing a great economic crisis following recession, needed to get benefited from the interest-free economic system practiced by the great companions of Prophet Mohammed.

Maulana Mohammed Muqueem Faizee, convener, 30th All India Ahle Hadees Conference, said the message of today’s conference was that “we should follow the exemplary lives and mission of the great companions and take the humanity out of various kinds of problems in all walks of life.

The two-day conference would continue tomorrow. Tomorrow a number of non-Muslim speakers, including renowned political leaders, intellectuals, senior media=persons and social activists as well as Muslim community leaders and representatives from different Muslim and non-Muslim organizations would express their views. At the end of the two-day conference tomorrow, a resolution would also be passed.
