What is recorded in the history about the Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) in general and the rightly guided Caliphs in particular, was a factual recording and description of the type of lives and characters those magnificent men had. History never before them has witnessed men who completely committed themselves and sacrificed their lives to a perfectly supreme and just cause.
The Companions plunged themselves into implementing the teachings of the Holy Prophet and making it concrete in their daily life. The questions which pre-occupied them were not speculative, but practical. What concerned them most was the method or means of realization. Thus they began the arduous tasks of translating the principles of Islam, as set forth in the Holy Quran, and taught by the Holy Prophet, into directives, for human conduct.
We hope that in this age of chaos and anarchy these few aspects of Holy Prophet Seerah and his Companions soothing light of their message would serve the purpose of light with which we would be able to make our lives more and more glowing and tread the True path with much more commitment and enthusiasm. Besides articles on the Seerah of the Holy Prophet and “Adalatus-Sahaba” (Excellence of Companion’s Moral Probity”) the Simple Truth welcomes and pays its mark of respect to His Highness Dr Saud bin Ibrahim Al-Shuraim, Imam of Grand Mosque (Kaba) at Makkah, who on the invitation of Markazi Jamiat Ahle-Hadeeth, Hind is visiting Delhi on March 2-3, 2012. He would deliver Friday Khutba and lead prayer in Ramlila Ground on March 2,2012 and Maghrib as well as Isha prayers on Saturday (March 3, 2012) on the same venue. Definitely, his visit would spark a string of celebrations in Delhi and all across the country.
